The Biggest Games Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

by shayaan

Nintendo completely unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 this week, and it has a larger LCD screen, updated Joy-Con controllers that can also be used as mice, two USB-C ports and a better standard. It can also play games with a 4K resolution on your TV and 1080p with 120 frames per second on the Switch 2 itself.

Of course that would not all matter if there were no murderous games along the way. We will see a few big at the launch, with more to come later – and we have combed the announcements to find the best things on the way.

Mario Kart World (June 5)

The first thing that came to mind when we saw Mario Kart World was: “Hey, it’s Forza Horizon!” Mario Kart World offers a whole series of songs to race – more than 30 of them – but the big idea here is that all these tracks are part of a uniform open world. So you can go on your favorite song for your best time, but you can also spend time exploring the wide world of Mario Kart by letting the card praise itself or with friends.

Legend of Zelda Upgrades (June 5)

These are two separate games – the legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom – but we count them in one, because what makes them new is about the same for both. It is a simple list, but it can be enough to justify diving again.

The Switch 2 editions of these games have an improved resolution, smoother frame speeds, an extra save slot and faster loading times. They will also support the new Zelda Notes app, which will help you by navigating the world, and giving you a repository of Ultrahand constructions created by the community to use in your own game.

Even better, if you already own these games (you do), you can buy an upgrade instead of having to buy the entire game again. We would like it to be free, but it is better to buy the entire game again. Nintendo, however, has confirmed that the Zelda upgrades will be free if you have the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

Donkey Kong Bananza (July 17)

Donkey Kong 64 fans: you’ve been waiting for a long time, but your patience is rewarded with Donkey Kong Bananza, an open world 3D Donkey Kong game where you fight against the mysterious Voidco to reclaim the golden bananas they have stolen from you.

One of the most exciting characteristics of this is the high level of destroyability offered by the environment. With an atmosphere that reminds itself of the beautiful Super Mario Odyssey, this is one to pay attention to.

Super Mario Party Jamboree NS2 -Edition (July 2025)

Super Mario Party Jamboree originally hit in 2024, and this is another example of a game that receives the Switch 2 -upgrade treatment. It has all the functions of the original, look better than ever, but it will also add mini -games to tackle the unique functions of the Nintendo Switch 2.

For example, if you and your friends have the optional camera, you can see a live portrait of yourself next to your character.

Hyrule Warriors: Age or prison (Q4 2025)

The newest sequel to Hyrule Warriors is exactly what you would expect: Legend of Zelda characters in the well-known hack-and-slash dynasty Warriors formula, albeit with tears of the graphic images in Kingdom style. The game takes you back in time for the disaster to a period in the history of Hyrule called the prison war, and lets you fight again with thousands of enemies.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (2025)

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond comes to both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. If you play it on switch 2, you get a lot of extra functions on top Finally get a new Metroid game (Hold us waiting, hey, Nintendo?).

You can play it on 4K/60FPS on your television or 1080p/120fps on your switch 2. It also has improved textures and loading times. The most exciting part for FPS fans, however, is that it supports the mouse function of the Switch 2 controllers with the help of the mouse function.

Drag x Drive (TBA)

This item is designed to show the Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers in their best light. Teams of 3 players will fight on a basketball court and play as futuristic wheelchair athletes. You have to use the Meust functions of the two controllers at the same time to keep your seat moving, and then when you are inside, to record one of them and let your wrist be allowed to put the ball through the hoop.

Pokémon Legends Sat (2025)

It’s time to go back to Lumiosis City from Pokemon X and Y, but in much more detail. For the first time, however, you can fight this series in real -time as a Pokemon trainer, move on the battlefield and use your Pokemon whenever you want.

The Duskbloods (2026)

Although Sony does not like to look like Bloodborne, software is still hungry to enter the world again. Enter the Duskbloods, a multiplayer game exclusively to the Switch 2 of software developer.

A quick glance at the trailer will show you what we are talking about. This game has a Victorian horror esthetics that certainly reminds us of Bloodborne. From the Elden Ring of Software: Nightreign comes out this year, and the following villains – it seems that it is now getting big on multiplayer games.
